ADC-NJ applauds New Jersey’s two Senators on their efforts in reaching a fair and worthy Immigration bill.

Clifton, NJ-The New Jersey Chapter of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC-NJ) takes great pride in congratulating Bassima Mustafa, a Member of the Executive Board of Directors of ADC-NJ, for her latest appointment by Governor Corzine to the New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund Board of Directors.  

In addition to being an active member of the Arab American community and  a member of the Executive Board of Directors of ADC-NJ, Bassima has been teaching in Paterson for 17 years. She is  also a Member of the Arab and Muslim Advisory Board to the Attorney General of New Jersey The New Jersey Educational Opportunity Fund Board  of Directors sets policy, approves all necessary regulations for program operation and student eligibility, develops the annual budget request for the statewide program, and supports EOF programs at public and independent colleges and universities. The EOF Board also supervises a small graduate grant program, as well as the C. Clyde Ferguson Law and the Martin Luther King Physician-Dentistry programs.

Bassima is the third member of the ADC-NJ Board to be appointed by Gov. Corzine.  Hany Mawla, Esq was appointed last year to the New Jersey Civil Rights Commission, of the Office of the Attorney General, Department of Law and Public Safety. Samer Khalaf, Esq.  was appointed to the New Jersey Advisory Committee on Police Standards.
